The Backcountry Camping Trail parking area is perfect for intermediate sledders that want some good speed but don't want to go flying off the base of the dune.

This activity can be done throughout the park. One only has to keep these two things in mind; Don’t sled into plants, for they have a tough enough life as it is in the desert. And second, don’t sled into roads, for it might turn into a dangerous situation.
