Pets are not allowed on the Ridge or Saddle Trails, although an alternate route is available for pet owners who still wish to do this hike (see alternate hike description below). This hike does not ascend to the summit of Old Rag, but does provide a great view of the mountain.

Hike Description (No Pets Allowed)
- From the Old Rag Parking Area on the Park boundary, take the Ridge Trail and turn right onto the Ridge Access Trail.
- Turn left onto Weakley Hollow Fire Road and follow to Robertson Mountain Trail.
- Continue to the summit, and then descend to intersection.
- Turn left onto Old Rag Fire Road.
- Turn left again onto Weakley Hollow Fire Road.
- Turn right onto the Ridge Access Trail.
- Turn left onto the Ridge Trail and follow back to the Old Rag parking area.
Alternate Hike Description (Pets Allowed)
*Pets must be on a physical leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.
- From the Old Rag parking area on the Park boundary, walk along Rt. 600 to Weakley Hollow Fire Road.
- Follow the fire road to its intersection with Robertson Mountain Trail.
- Turn right onto Robertson Mountain Trail and continue to the summit.
