Town Hall was the social center of the camp. Used for recreation as well as meetings, the large L-shaped building was outfitted with a variety of chairs, couches, gliders, rockers, bookcases, tables, desks, and a ping-pong table. Guests retired to Town Hall after dinner to smoke and sit by the fires knitting, working jigsaw puzzles, and conversing. By many accounts, conversations were lively, interesting, and enjoyed by all who participated. The large grassy area nearby was a favorite spot for picnics.
