Looking southeast from an elevation of 2,455 ft (748 m), Loft Mountain Overlook presents you with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains descending into the foothills that merge with the Piedmont region of Virginia. Straight ahead is County Line Mountain. Aptly named, County Line Mountain is the boundary between Greene County, where you are, and Albemarle County.
