Hensley Hollow Overlook
in
Shenandoah

Look north from an elevation of 2,560 ft (780 m) at Hensley Hollow Overlook and view the Shenandoah Valley below. Beyond Hensley Ridge is the town of Elkton, Virginia. In 1812 a man named George Conrad built a general store near where the Elk Run stream intersects with the Shenandoah River. The community that followed was referred to as Conrad's Store until the official incorporation in 1908, when the town became Elkton.

Maintenance of this view funded by Rockingham County Tourism through the Shenandoah National Park Trust Adopt an Overlook program.
