People once called this place home. Remnants of their lives and the impact they had on this land are still evident if you know where and how to look. In this hollow are the stories of people and a history obscured by the wild, rapid pace of natural flux.
What is a hollow?
A hollow is a narrow, low spot between two ridges, not as wide as a valley, not as deep as a canyon. Many people chose to live in hollows, and many hollows got their names from the people who resided in them. As you travel along the trail think about where you would choose to live on the mountain and the factors that are most important in selecting a home.
