Are you interested in visiting Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, Moraine Park, or hiking on any trails beginning at Glacier Gorge Trailhead or other trailhead destinations located along Bear Lake Road? Then the Park Access+ Timed Entry Permit is right for you!
Beginning on May 26 through October 22, Park Access+ Timed Entry Permits are required to access all areas on the Bear Lake Road Corridor between the hours of 5 a.m. and 6 p.m.
- Park Access+ Timed Entry Reservations are available in 2-hour windows of time, for example from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. or 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
- Park Access+ reservation holders must initially enter Rocky Mountain National Park and the Bear Lake Road Corridor during their 2-hour reservation window.
- Visitors with Park Access+ Timed Entry Permits who enter the Bear Lake Road Corridor and who want to exit and return later in the day, may re-enter the Bear Lake Road Corridor anytime after 2 p.m.
- The timed entry permit holder (the person whose name is on the timed entry permit reservation) must be in the vehicle. The reservation holder will be asked to show their reservation confirmation and a valid photo ID upon arrival at the park's entrance station.
- To reserve a timed entry permit, begin by visiting the website www.recreation.gov or use the Recreation.gov mobile App. Search for "Rocky Mountain National Park Timed Entry."
- Remember to print out a copy of this document or take a full screenshot on your phone.
- If taking a screenshot, make sure you capture the full reservation confirmation, including the dates and the reservation "QR Code."
- If you are planning to access an outlying area of the park during a time of day when permits are required, (like Lily Lake, East Inlet Trailhead, Lumpy Ridge, and more), you must have a printed copy of your permit displayed on your vehicle's dashboard.
- Reservations are not required to access the Bear Lake Road Corridor before 5 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
