The 8-mile (12.9 km) round-trip trail begins on the Makah Reservation, and continues into Olympic National Park, so you will need two different permits. You can buy a Makah Recreation permit in the town of Neah Bay at Makah Marina, The Museum at the Makah Culture and Research Center, Washburn's General Store, Makah Mini Mart, Makah Tribal Cetner, or Hobuck Beach Resort.
