Rialto Beach
in
Olympic

Rialto Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Olympic, and one of the most accessible. A short path leads to a pebble beach and ocean view. In summer, there is a wheelchair accessible ramp on the path. Rialto is a wonderful place to look for wildlife, from otters and seals to pelicans and bald eagles! You may even see gray whales migrating in summer! Hikers can trek north along the undeveloped coast 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the formation known as Hole in the Wall, and beyond. This coast has seen drama, tragedy and heroism. Memorials north of Rialto Beach commemorate 36 people who died in wrecks of Chilean and Norwegian vessels in 1920 and 1903.

Leashed pets are allowed from the parking lot to Ellen Creek, about half a mile north on the beach.
