Company Creek Trail climbs steeply through an open forest with good views of Stehekin Valley. At mile 1.8 (2.9 km), the trail enters Glacier Peak Wilderness in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Walk a few minutes more for views to open up of Sable Ridge and glaciated Bonzana Peak. At 9,511 feet (2,899 m), Bonanza Peak is the tallest non-volcanic mountain in Washington.
The trail continues through forest past the unmaintained Cedar Camp to backpacking destinations further into the wilderness. Sections of the trail can be overgrown, especially early in the summer. Be on the lookout for large patches of nettles after the trail enters Glacier Peak Wilderness.
- Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous
- Distance and elevation: The section of the trail within Lake Chelan National Recreation Area ends after 1.8 miles (2.9 km) with 1,500 feet (460 m) elevation gain. The trail continues in Glacier Peak Wilderness in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
- Access: The trailhead is off Company Creek Road. From Stehekin Landing, travel 4.5 miles north along the Stehekin Valley Road and turn left across Harlequin Bridge. Follow the road as it veers to the right at the fork. The trailhead is on the left, after the PUD powerplant, 0.8 miles (1.3 km) down Company Creek Road.
- Leashed dogs allowed.
- Backcountry camping is allowed once you enter Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest with limited areas where dispersed camping is practical. Established Forest Service camps (no services) are at Five Mile and Nine Mile.
