Season: Summer Only (June - September)
Inspiration Point is located along Stevens Canyon Road, which is open to vehicles during the summer season only, typically June-September. During the winter, hikers and snowshoers can still access the point via the closed road as long as snowplowing or maintenance operations are not underway. Always check signs on closed road gates before proceeding.

Inspiration Point is a large pullout and viewpoint on the west end of Stevens Canyon Road between the exit of the one-way Paradise Valley Road and Reflection Lakes, approximately 0.5 miles from the Paradise Road junction. From the very beginning of the park, Inspiration Point has been a popular spot for visitors to pause and take in the spectacular view of Mount Rainier. Scenic overlooks like Inspiration Point are more than just a lucky view. They were designed specifically to highlight Mount Rainier and the surrounding landscape as well as appearing to be as natural in the landscape as possible, a tenet of National Park Service rustic architecture. Inspiration Point is a contributing feature to Mount Rainier’s National Historic Landmark District.
