Lexington Arch Road

Approximately 14 miles from Hwy 487, speed limit unpaved, 25 mph.  

Lexington Arch road provides access to Lexington Arch Trail. After experiencing a wildfire in 2013, a lot of the once vibrant vegetation has been scorched, leaving the road exposed to the hot summer sun. Be Advised! Lexington Arch road is unpaved and has extreme washouts a mile before the trailhead. Do not attempt to drive the last section of this road. To hike this trail park at the last fork in the road. Bring sunscreen and good hiking boots. A creek runs along the road, juxtaposing green life against the stark black and grey decay. Enjoy the rolling hills, full of Utah Juniper and Pinyon Pine to the north, contrasted with the burnt scarring to the south. Follow the cairns along the road to find the trailhead.
