The Dornans complex has a long history of providing services to park visitors. This family owned business is actually a park inholding dating back to the 1920s. During summer, visitors may enjoy two restaurants, a wine shoppe, grocery and deli, gasoline, ATM, coffee stand, ice cream cart, gifts, lodging, and adventure sports equipment rental and sales. Several other businesses also operate in area including Moosely Mountaineering that offers climbing gear and soft goods, Snake River Angler Fly Shop, and Barker-Ewing scenic float trip booking desk. During winter, the grocery store rents cross-country skis and snowshoes, but be aware that many other shops are closed.

Name Origin

Evelyn Dornan homesteaded a small 20-acre tract on the east bank of the Snake River in 1922. A widow from Pennsylvania, she learned about the lot from Holiday Menor who homesteaded nearby. The land is still owned by the Dornan family. One of the most notable in-holdings in the park.
