Grand Canyon

Nearby:

  • Scenic Overlook
  • Canyon Rim Trail Access

Located west of Yaki Point and the South Kaibab Trailhead, this shuttle stop provides visitors with spectacular views across the canyon from South Rim to North Rim. There is limited roadside parking here, and the area can become quite congested since this is the closest pullout to the village along Desert View Drive.

All buses that stop here are inbound to the Visitor Center.

The paved Canyon Rim Trail may be accessed here, with a 1.4-mile (2.3 km) walk west to Mather Point, or a 0.9-mile (1.4 km) walk east to South Kaibab Trailhead. It is possible to get off the bus at this stop, enjoy a scenic walk along the rim, then get back on the bus at the next stop and return to the Visitor Center.

This section of the Canyon Rim Trail is part of a multi-use greenway —bicycles may also travel on this trail, east to South Kaibab Trailhead and west to the Visitor Center/ Mather Point.
