The Panther Junction Visitor Center is one mile ahead. There you may obtain further information and orientation. A ranger can answer your questions and help plan your visit. Publications for sale and free brochures deal with almost every aspect of the park. You will also find a post office, restrooms, and a short 0.25 mile nature trail. A gas station is located 1/8 mile to the west of the visitor center. 
You are halfway into the park. In all directions a fascinating and varied land awaits your discovery. We are proud of the diverse natural and cultural resources in Big Bend and ask you to assist us by reporting any illegal collecting activity.
