The Mexican drooping juniper, or weeping juniper, is the most common juniper in Mexico, but in the United States it is found only in the mountains of West Texas. The major portion of its range is in Mexio and extends from Chihuahua south to Oaxaca and Guatemala. It always appears wilted, no matter how much rainfall it receives. The tree usually grows 25 to 30 feet tall, although it can be up to 55 feet in height.
