This low saddle between peaks is a great turn-around point for a shorter hike (2 miles round-trip.) The view to the east encompasses Juniper Canyon, the Northeast Rim of the Chisos, and the lower desert beyond. An early morning arrival affords an opportunity to watch the rising sun highlight Casa Grande and the rocky cliffs of the Northeast Rim.
