Livingston House
in
Big Bend
Charles Livingston, an undertaker from Alpine, bought land just west of the Hot Springs post office from J.O. Langford in the late 1920s or early 1930s. Soon after, he built a beautiful rock house on a hill overlooking Tornillo Creek. The house is constructed of native stone and local materials. It later served as a temporary residence during the early days of the national park.
