The Hi-View Trailhead provides access to several trails in the northwest corner of the park. The trailhead is located down a dirt road northwest of Black Rock Campground. Some of the more popular hikes include the Hi-View Trail, an easy 1.3 mile loop, and West Side Loop, a moderate 4.1 mile loop that can be combined with additional trails for longer hikes. The trails in this area are a mix of dirt, rock, and sandy washes. All Black Rock Area Hiking Trails are considered moderate or strenuous and require decent navigation skills.
The parking area for this trailhead is a small dirt parking lot so anything larger than a small RV (20 feet) may have difficulty turning around.
